Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Monique. I started Our Home Wash & Fold Solutions for two reasons that matter deeply to me: to be present for my family, and to still show up as a real contributor to my household. Like a lot of parents, I was tired of choosing between time with my kids and time to earn. Our Home Wash and Fold let me build both — a business I run from home, on a schedule that still leaves room for school pickups, dinner, and everything in between.

As I got into this work, I realized I wasn’t just solving my own time problem — I was solving one for other families too. Laundry is one of those household tasks that never ends and never feels like it’s “worth” the time it takes. Between work, kids’ schedules, and everything else on your plate, laundry piles up fast — and it’s often the first thing to get pushed aside. I built this business so you don’t have to choose between a clean house and a life outside of it.

I’m proud to be a woman-owned, home-based business serving West Orange, Montclair, Verona, Caldwell, and our surrounding Essex County communities. Every order is handled personally, by me — not a warehouse, not a stranger you’ll never meet. I check pockets before washing, I’m upfront about pricing with no surprise fees, and I treat your family’s laundry the way I’d want mine treated.
